Welcome to the URSA Research Group
The URSA (XPU-driven Research on System and Architecture) is a research group at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICT, CAS), led by Dr. Xueqi Li. Our mission is to explore next-generation heterogeneous computing paradigms, with a focus on Domain Specific Architecture (DSA), Processing-In-Memory (PIM) accelerators, and Cross-layer Optimization across algorithm, architecture, and technology.
We aim to bridge hardware innovation with real-world application demands through the design of domain-specific architectures (DSAs) and processing-in-memory (PIM) accelerators tailored for emerging workloads. Our research emphasizes cross-layer co-optimization, integrating algorithmic insights, architectural design, and technology constraints to deliver scalable and energy-efficient computing solutions.
We are based at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICT, CAS), a premier research institute located in Beijing. Our team is affiliated with the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).
